My career objective is to work in a library or archive where specializing in moving image and sound archives. I want to bring more awareness to audiovisual preservation in archives and its importance. I furthermore want to bring awareness to the content and technology being used to create digital surrogates in archives, and make it more accessible to people looking to preserve personal collections.
This ePortfolio highlights the work produced specifically to meet course requirements for the MSIS. However, my resume provides an overview of my experience in outreach, digital asset management systems, and strategic planning and assessment. Being at UT has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of archival theory, and to gain hands-on experience working in archives. I am confident the knowledge, skills, and experiences I have acquired as a master’s candidate in the SIS program at UT have provided me a solid foundation to learn and grow in my future career.
